The very idea of sweets can evoke the sense of
excitement and whimsy. Turning candy into a personalized
statement as a wedding favour is a wonderful way to add to
the decor while also having a bit of fun with your guests.
Encourage their imaginations as they meet new and old
friends and send them off with a take home that is as
sweet as their memory of the day.
At our Candy Store at The Wedding Show this past
weekend, we used customized lollipops and swizzle sticks
in pink and purple to highlight the candy bar & DIY
area of the show. We have seen an increased use of candy,
sweets and even candy-coloured hues at weddings and
predict their continued use as couples find ways to
express their excitement and imagination through their
wedding-day presentation.
Our source for these gorgeous treats was Candy
Spirit, an online company by artist Janine Lea Swan.
Janine’s company grew from a single lollipop when she
found that people love sweet treats, especially when they
are customized. For 2008, Candy Spirit will take
customization to the next level, from sea foam coloured
lollipops that taste like strawberry to personalized
statements expressed on the individual candies. What else
did you expect from dreamy confectionary?
